Online poker aficionados are now partying. The 2009 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is now happening.
Events have started their buy-ins ranging from $200 to $25,500 since September 3. However, if you have not taken part of the various events this year, you still have the chance. This is because there are more than 45 events that will be happening from September 3 to September 20.
Within the scheduled 45 big events, there will be three high-roller events as well. One of which will be a $10,000 two-day tournament held on September 6 to 7. Another high-roller event will be a $10,000 buy-in for H.O.R.S.E. championship to be held on September 20 and a $25,000 Heads-up NL Hold’em to take place on September 13.
The main event, which is taking place on September 20 will be a No-Limit Hold’em with $5,200 buy in.
If you want to take part, it is time for you to register and hope you can still take part in the 45 events of the 2009 WCOOP.
Please note however that previous WCOOP events have featured Online Poker Stars and if you have not won some good poker games, it may be difficult for you to sit and face online poker stars head on.
It may be worthy noting that superstars like Dan “Lenny:” Heimiller, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Christoph “Sessenage” Wolters and Steve “Rabscuttle” Cowley, among others have held their poker records in previous WCOOP events. Their experiences with the online poker tournaments have provided them entry to real world Poker Tournaments.
Is it your time to shine? If you feel you have a change against those poker giants, then take advantage of this year’s WCOOP events and win some games.
Buy-in your change to compete. However, while you can always do so, before you part with your money, ask yourself.
Have you prepared for tournaments like WCOOP? Have you played poker well? Do you have enough wagering money to play against poker professionals? Are the strategies of winning this popular card game intrinsic within your system?
If you do, then you surely can take part in this year’s tournament.
If not, however, there is no reason to feel sorry. You can start by reviewing poker books and play some serious poker games online. Satellite poker tournaments can be a practice ground for you as well. Practicing this popular card game is always necessary if you want to play in the next poker tournaments either online or in brick and mortar casinos.
If your goal is to play poker against the giants, it is therefore necessary that you be able to gage poker odds, know your opponents and be able to tell if you have the best hand or not.
Poker is very popular and there are many variations, you have to know all of them to have the edge among other players. Poker superstars are not superstars for nothing; they can get your money from you if you are unable to learn the strategies and the games well.
Be ready and when you are, tournaments will be waiting for you.
