The final table has been set at the 2011 PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour main event in Queenstown, New Zealand. The players count has been reduced from the starting 50 down to the final nine with Marcel Shreiner from Germany being able to keep his chip lead, extending his chip count to 591,500 in chips.
After a couple of hours the money bubble burst, leaving Artur Prokhorov from Russia the unfortunate bubble boy. He was eliminated by Hugh Cohen, going home with no prize money in the pocket. On the other side, the final table bubble boy was Jackson Zheng, who missed the opportunity to sit on two final table in a row, as he has finished eight at the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour main event in Melbourne a few weeks ago.
Marcel Schreiner will have a tough task winning the final table with Matt Yates from New Zealand breathing in his neck with 523,500 in chips. Tom Grigg has lost the second spot by the chip count from day 3, despite being able to make some more chips. He now sits with 296,000 in chips on the final table.

Leading the field by the chip count is Martin Schleich with 182,100 in chips, followed by Sam El Sayed with 163,200 in chips. The third place goes to Marcello Marigliano with 160,800 in chips.
After six levels of play on day 2, Marcel Shreiner managed to accumulate 453,800 in chips. Most of them came from the second placed Tom Grigg in the third last hand of the day. Tom Grigg, who is well known in the online tournament scene under his alias “tollgate”, finished the day with 220,500 in chips. Jonathan Karamalikis, who has won the 2010 PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour main event in Sydney, has taken the third place with 192,800 in chips.
