How it Deuce to Seven Stud Played?
1. The dealer shuffles the card, the person on his left will cut the deck somewhere in the middle.
2. Each player will post the Ante before cards are dealt. The ante is usually one chip.
3. The dealer will now deal three cards to each player. The first card will be dealt to the player seated immediately on the left of the dealer. The three cards will be 2 card face down and one card face up.
4. In a game with bring it in bet, the lowest face up card will determine the player to post the bring it in bet. This is the counterpart of blinds where the betting is forced on to him.
5. Because of the bring it in bet, the player on his left of the first bettor cannot check or bet zero but stay in the game. However, he needs to post a bet either equal (call), increase the bet (raise) or withdraw from the game (fold.)
6. After all the players have made their action moving clockwise, then the dealer deals the fourth card or the fourth street face up. This will be followed by another betting round. This round however starts from the highest showing hand on the table.
7. The rest of the players will now post their bet or make an action either call, raise or fold.
8. The dealer then, deals the fifth card or the fifth street, this is another face up card. The third betting round will now happen, again starting from the highest showing hand on the table.
9. After this betting round, the dealer deals the sixth street, which is the last face up card. The fourth betting round will happen again, the cards will decide who starts the betting. The player with the highest showing hand starts the betting round.
10. The final card to be dealt is the seventh street. This card will be dealt to each player face down. Again, in case there are 8 players the seventh street will be drawn face up in the middle of the table. This is because there will be not enough cards to be drawn to each player. This usually happens especially if most of the players stay in the pot.
11. The betting round after the seventh street will be the same player who started the betting round in the sixth street. This is because the seventh street is drawn face up and thus, the ranking of the hand on the table did not change.
12. The showdown will now happen. The lowest hand card wins the pot. The best hand to be formed by the players can be 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. This is a low poker game and thus the lowest hand wins.
This is how Deuce to Seven Stud is played.
