How to Play Double-Board Hold’em

We promised to give you all the cool variations of Poker. We intend to keep that. In this case, we will continue to discuss another cool variation of community poker; it is called Double-Board Hold’em.

Are you guessing why it is called Double-Board Hold’em? I am sure not because by the name alone, you will know that there are two sets of community cards in this game. How are you going to play with them? Not much difference with Texas Hold’em, the mother of this game.

The same rules as Texas Hold’em apply in this case, the only difference is that there are two boards at which you can combine your hole cards or pocket cards to.

The best hand in one board will pocket half of the pot and the other gets the other half. If it happens that only one player forms the best 5-hand card in both the boards, then he will scoop the pot. He pockets all the money the players have placed in the pot.

Others call this variation Double-Flop Hold’em but because it is not the flop along that is double, the name of this Texas Hold’em variation is sure to fit, Double-Board Hold’em.

Next, we will give you the exciting Royal Hold’em variation.

How to Play Royal Hold’em Poker?

This Texas Hold’em variation is called Royal Hold’em because you will only play with the royal ranked cards. There will be not deuce to nine in this game.

The cards you will play with will only be the tens, the jacks, the queens, the kings and the aces. Of course, the Ace here is only a high card.

The same rules of Texas Hold’s apply here.

• Players will have 2 hole cards.
• There will be 5 community cards: 3 flop, the turn and the river.
• There will be blinds and three to four betting rounds.
• The highest 5-card hand wins the pot.

The difference will be on the hand rankings because there are hand rankings in the normal Texas hold’em that will not fit in this game.

The hand ranking will be here from highest to lowest.

1. Royal flush, this is the highest ranking hand.
2. Four of a Kind
3. Full House
4. Straight
5. Two pair
6. One Pair

A pair of tens is sure to lose you money. Thus, when you play do not forget that it is Royal Hold’em you are playing or you think that your pair of tens, pair of jack and pair of queens can be good hand in Texas Hold’em but not in Royal Hold’em.

The best hands wins the pot and again, you may opt to play with the board cards alone and you can pocket the pot in this case.

Because there will be limited number of cards, the cards you will play with in a royal Hold’em will only be 20 in the deck, it is necessary that the maximum players in this case be only six.

This is because of the limited number of cards. In the game you will need 5 community cards, 3 burn cards and 2 cards for each player. This cards total 20, thus, you can play this poker variant only with 6 players including the dealer.
